A little downstream from Fisherman's Car Park which is situated at the bottom of Willow Walk. Free parking immediately adjacent except for a brief chargeable period around the start of office hours.
Back at the end of the lane, looking upriver towards riverside and the city centre.
Ely at night
This site seems to be popular just after office hours with triathletes and the odd dinghy. Deserted at other times. Upstream is shallow enough to permit easy standing and has a lot of reeds, lilies and fish, but it's usually possible to swim front crawl, and even backstroke in many places.
The Drainage Engine Museum is right next door.
