Contained within the i.MX6 build of !GemConfig there is a Drivers directory which holds an open source driver for the GC320 hardware block present in the i.MX6 System On Chip. Geminus will attempt to locate via the system variable GemConfig$Dir and when it finds this driver it will be loaded into memory, dramatically increasing the speed of on-screen copies, on-screen fills and the window cacheing.
This component makes the IMXGC320 driver module from R-Comp redundant whilst Geminus is loaded since it implements the same functionality, and the additional functionality required for sprite and window cacheing within system RAM.
Should you require some reassurance that this module is being loaded and used by Geminus there is a command *GeminusInfo which should report the screen as using 'IMXVIdeo' and type 'GC3xx'
If you already have the IMXGC320 acceleration module from R-Comp you should find that Geminus happily co-exists with it; there should be no compatibility issues. Whilst Geminus is running, however, the IMXGC320 driver module will not be used since Geminus has its own internal GC3xx driver which offers some extra functionality required for off-screen cacheing.
